Jessica White

I'm a full time artist, living and working in Sacramento, Ca. A native of the area, I grew up learning art from my mother and paternal grandmother, drawing and coloring at a young age. I spent my high school years, and much of my time in college focused on school, studying sciences at UC Davis, all the while keeping art as my hobby and outlet.

In 2006 I left UC Davis to pursue something more artistic and personally gratifying. I worked for 4 years as a photographer, both in studio and on location, developing a pallet that I feel translates into my work today. During this time I was presented with a chance to learn tattooing, and started an apprenticeship at a studio downtown.

I began my tattoo career in mid 2010 and since I have had the opportunity to travel and learn from a variety of sources. Primarily focusing on custom color pieces, I enjoy stylized, intricate work, with a great affection for anything "cute." My tattoo style has been described as delicate and bright, with heavy influences from pop culture, and a great attention to detail. Recently I've been working towards developing my personal style as an artist, exploring pieces that incorporate details reminiscent of botanical prints and field sketches, as well as more structured and simplistic color pieces. I've developed a great interest in geometry and neo-traditional work, and I hope to add more of these to my repertoire as I continue to explore new and intriguing styles.

Aside from tattooing, I enjoy writing, playing guitar, and avoiding sharks at all costs. I also take great pleasure in spoiling my cats, Willow and Freya, as much as possible.
